CAPABLE ARTS is a one-week art camp designed to introduce and teach children various forms of artistic expression. We are proud to bring this rich and fun camp to children with disabilities and their siblings in collaboration with St. Lillian Academy.

Campers must be:

  • between the ages of 6 and 18
  • able to follow instructions
  • capable of tolerating group instruction and interaction

CAPABLE ARTS will be held June 26 - 29, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Baton Rouge.  Camp is from 1:00 - 4:00pm, Monday through Thursday, with the final art show and performance on Thursday, June 29th from 4:30-6:30pm. The final art show and performance is free and open to the public. Please note that camp will not be held on the Friday, June 30th of that week.

Our theme this year is “Hero Central: Discover Your Strengths.” The activities build day to day so your child should participate each and every day, and attend the final performance.

Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis, so please get your registration and payment in as soon as possible. We can accommodate siblings, age 6-12, on a limited basis.  All spots will be filled as registration is received.

Registration fee for camp this year is $80 for each child. Partial scholarships are available, if needed.
